DOZ Syria Meets with GIZ Hospital Partnerships Program to Strengthen Health Sector Cooperation.

In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare in Syria, DOZ Syria Chairperson Ms. Sally Jarjous held a strategic meeting in Damascus with Ms. Ronja Kropp, the representative of the Hospital Partnerships Program for Syria. This program is led by GIZ and operates in several countries, including Syria, with the aim of fostering international collaboration in the health sector.

The meeting focused on the pressing challenges facing Syria’s health system and explored avenues for cooperation between German donors and Syrian civil society actors. Discussions emphasized the need for joint efforts to improve medical infrastructure, expand access to essential health services, and support capacity building for healthcare professionals.

Both parties expressed a strong commitment to developing sustainable partnerships that respond to the needs of vulnerable communities and contribute to long-term health system recovery.
