We are proud to announce the launch of our new emergency response initiative aimed at supporting conflict-affected women and girls in As-Sweida and Daraa. This project is a vital step toward restoring self-trust, resilience, and safety for those most impacted by the recent escalation in insecurity and displacement.
Project Objective
To improve the immediate well-being of displaced and vulnerable women and girls
by providing access to:
- Basic psychosocial support (Psychological First Aid)
- Essential hygiene items
- Safe and informed referral mechanisms
Who we serve?
This action targets:
- Internally displaced women and girls affected by the 2025 security escalation
- Female-headed households and widows
- Women and girls in host communities facing compounded vulnerabilities
Key Activities
- Psychosocial Support Sessions
450 women and girls will participate in small group sessions led by trained female
facilitators to help manage trauma and stress. - Awareness & Referral Networks
Distribution of service brochures and coordination with local women’s groups to
strengthen community-based protection pathways. - Distribution of Dignity Kits
450 tailored hygiene kits will be distributed, including sanitary pads, soap, shampoo,
disinfectant, underwear, and other essentials.
Expected Impact
- Enhanced mental resilience and emotional support for 450 women and girls
- Increased awareness of available services and protection mechanisms
- Improved hygiene, self-trust, and health outcomes for displaced and vulnerable
women and girls.
This project builds on existing local efforts and expands our reach to insecure areas
where support is urgently needed.
